So with another week off I had a chance to brush up on my dirt car skills and get ready for the Prelude. I am so honored that Tony (Stewart) invited me again to his race at Eldora. Last year was my first time at the event and I can’t say enough for the people on Tony’s team who put the event on, and fans who come out to support it. Last year I couldn’t believe how many people were there. The event kinda reminded me of an outdoor national race. Last year we had a lot of bad luck starting with a piece of lead coming off another truck and blasting it’s way through the front of my truck causing a big fire and having to replace the motor. It didn’t get much better from there but my team persevered and we cam away with a career best 4th. My expectations for this year were more of the same minus the lead!

The greatest SX season was coming to an end and I was pumped to be there in the booth calling the action. I always say I have the best seat in the house and I couldn’t wait to see how it ended up. I was also excited to see how the new format worked out with both 250 championships being decided as well. I also had a feeling that something was going to happen http://twitter.com/RickyCarmichael/status/66951465444442112 and the way this season had gone so far it didn’t disappoint me!
